Companies including plant hirers, earthworks contractors and aggregates suppliers will gather in a Clydeside church next week to stake their claims for a share of the £500m expansion of the Faslane Naval Base.
Engineer VolkerStevin is holding a supplier engagement event in Helensburgh to meet potential suppliers for the £500m development of the base as the Royal Navy’s submarine centre of specialisation.
Development of the base is part of “numerous” infrastructure improvements to accommodate the increase in personnel, which will eventually see around 8,200 service men and women and their families living in the area and a further 1,000 construction jobs created.
The contractor is keen to speak to plant companies, civil engineering and earthworks contractors, aggregates suppliers, and surfacing firms.
The event will be held at Helensburgh Parish Church on Friday, February 9. Click here to register.
