Doosan is launching Stage V versions of its 6- and 8-tonne excavators.
They feature the Yanmar 4TNV98C common rail direct injection diesel engine, providing 44.3 kW of power at a rated speed of 2100 rpm. Stage V emission requirements are achieved through exhaust gas recirculation and diesel particulate filter after-treatment technology.
The 6-tonne DX62R-3 reduced tail swing and DX63-3 conventional tail swing (pictured) benefit from a 22% increase in engine power over the previous generation. The bigger DX85R-3 offers a bucket digging force of 6.3 tonnes combined with a traction force of 6.6 tonnes and travel speeds from 2.7 km/h to 4.7 km/h.
Doosan says space in the cabs on the three excavators is comparable to that in larger medium- and heavy-duty machines.
